I’ve spent the last 15 years working on affordable housing in Virginia, place-based investing in New York and New Jersey, and building a network of digital health hubs in East Africa. Throughout, I was interested in the resiliency of local ecosystems.

Virginia born, I’ve lived in Jordan, Germany, Kenya, the UK and fell in love with New York City. Walking through streets, picking up new languages and smelling new foods, I knew I wanted to work on building vibrant, inclusive and healthy places.

I write about things like how the beauty of our surroundings impacts our mental and physical health, the use of innovative inhalers that help local politicians plan traffic, and how we build cohesive communities and friendships online.
